First of all, when we return to Coz, we’ll definitely stay at The Blue Angel Resort again. Eva and her staff makes you feel like a part of her family. Because the hotel is small (I think 24 rooms), it’s easy to get to know people when you’re there for a whole week. Here’s what I liked about the hotel:
The rooms are very basic….concrete floors, two double beds (at least that’s what was in our room), dresser, TV that only got a few channels so we didn’t watch it (which is a good thing!), large shower, open closet with shelves. This is definitely a “no frills” place so if you expect chocolates on your pillow and the bed turned down every night, this wouldn’t be the place for you.
Clean, clean, clean! Although the rooms are very basic, I was really impressed with the cleanliness. The maids work their magic everyday so you come back to a very tidy room.
Each room has a balcony that looks out on the ocean! There’s a small table and two chairs if you’re inclined to want to sit outside. What I liked is that we could hang all of our dive gear, skins, wetsuits, and swimsuits on the balcony and they were usually pretty dry by morning (if you did morning dives).

There was Wi-Fi in the lobby and restaurant. Reception was not good in the rooms.

This is really a divers hotel. Most of the guests were divers so it was very easy to meet new people who were as crazy about diving as we are! I don’t think it would be a great place for a family vacation if the family wasn’t made up of divers. Also, there are no elevators so if a person couldn’t negotiate steps up to the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors, then this place wouldn’t work.

We walked into town on several occasions and it took about 30 minutes. Cab ride to town was around $6 USD.

Shore diving is available right at the hotel.
